First, I have to say that this product Ochre stacked stone panels,
installed in our recently remodeled town home, has generated more
positive compliments and genuine interest than any other aspect of the
project! We applied the stone to a central wall that is very
prominent and that runs from the top of the cathedral ceiling on the
main level and down the stairwell leading to the lower level with a
family room and 3 bedrooms. The effect of the stone is very dramatic
and adds a “wow factor” that makes it probably the most exciting and
satisfying elements of the project. It brings the outside in, which
is the feeling we wanted to create. We are absolutely delighted! We
also used Norstone to resurface and modernize a fireplace in the
living room. You can see both the fireplace and the wall in the same
view and they tie the two areas together extremely well. The fireplace
itself turned out great, with a natural cherry mantle and bookcases
above!
We
originally saw this type of product on the West Coast, where we have a
second home. We fell in love with the look and decided that it was
something we wanted to use when we remodeled our 25-year-old, 2,500 sq
ft town home in Pennsylvania. We basically gutted the main living
area and opened it up, creating a much more contemporary feel. The
stone provides the warm color (Ochre)
and texture we wanted on this interior accent wall. The ledge stone
style gives a very contemporary look/feel to the entire open living
area (living room, dining room and walkway to the kitchen). This area
is all open so the stonewall provides the backdrop for, and can be
viewed from all of the main living area.
Our
contractor, who typically builds upper-end custom homes, had never
seen the product. He was somewhat hesitant to include it in the bid,
because of the unknowns associated with installing something new,
particularly when it was going to be used over such a large area. He
is now expects to recommend it to other clients, which is clear
indication of how happy he is with the product, the installation process
and the end result. Joe Wallace, owner of P.L. Walman, Kennett
Square, PA is now a believer! The Ochre rock panels
went up easier and faster than expected. Instead of a stonemason,
our tile setter installed the product, with excellent results. (He is
already talking with a second client about using it to face a bar in a
family room that he is building for a friend.) The product application
notes and phone support on specific questions, provided by Norstone
USA were of great help in making this first local installation so
successful. We ordered the material from the Norstone USA in Florida
and had it shipped by truck. Everything arrived on time, and with no

smoothly and that the results were as satisfying as we had hoped for.
The mitering of the corners was the most challenging aspect of the installation, but we quickly developed the technique that produced what are virtually seamless corners.

for the walls at the Veterans Park at production cost, way below the
wholesale cost. They did CVA and the Veterans of Carter County a great

The
fireplace is finally finished. Everyone from the architect to the mason
loved the application .. They all want a stone panel sample for other
customers. The mason said the panels were a lot easier application than
most stone work. He had very little waste and therefore I have 5 extra
panel boxes. I will send pictures soon.. Thanks so much for the help in
my creation.. Great working with you. The stone panels were all of
similar size and color...perfect
